Level Up Your On-Set Audio Skills
In this workshop, participants will learn the basics of sound recording on small productions, as well as hands-on participation with mics and recorders. The workshop will go over how to use an audio recorder, the different types of microphones, ways to set up for different scenarios and microphones, dealing with unwanted noise, boom operation, and more.
This workshop is part of the Winnipeg Film Group’s new 2026 reduced-rate workshop program, made possible through generous support from The Winnipeg Foundation. Thanks to their contribution, we’re able to offer more affordable, hands-on filmmaking opportunities for our community throughout the year.
