STAR ROBOT: 2050 Amazon Jungle Part 2
by Greg Roth
2019
Intrepid filmmaker Greg Roth makes films unlike anything you’ve ever seen. Completely self-taught, produced, and up until now, distributed, Greg is the very definition of independent. Like a door-to-door salesman, Greg has been pounding the pavement in Winnipeg, Steinbach, and surrounding areas for decades, selling copies of his STAR ROBOT film series to the bemused and bewildered alike, gaining a cult following with his guerrilla distribution methods and camp film classics. Combining the universe-building of STAR WARS with no-budget effects, his parents in starring roles and a singular vision from beyond Earth, Greg Roth’s films play like the long-lost home videos of a castaway space traveler. (David Knipe)
